How can I book you for my project?

You can either email me with details of your project or you can call me to talk over your project. All my details are on my contact page.

As I am often in studio, I may not be able to answer when you call, so please do leave a message and I will reply as soon as I can.

Booking audiobooks

For audiobook related questions please contact me to discuss your project. I undertake both Per Finished Hour and Royalty Share Plus project. I am able to provide RAW punch and roll recordings, or fully edited, mastered and proofed audio.

Yes I certainly do. If you want to hear how I can elevate your words, simply get in touch with a short section of your script, and the kind of read you would like. For audiobooks, a couple of pages, with main characters, or an important scene would be fantastic.

This is a very important question and there isn’t a simple answer. There are many different types of projects, from small in-house e-learning to international TV campaigns, IVR to Audiobooks. There are also different rates for different types of projects, in different territories.

As a starting point for most projects, I use:

These guides protect rates for industry professionals and include the agreed rates of the British Actors Union Equity, and SAG-AFTRA in America.

As a voiceover artist with over 25 years’ experience, my hourly Basic Studio Fee, (BSF) is £275. This is standard for a professional voice over with my level of experience and home studio facilities. The BSF is the starting point. I would look at the script and calculate how long it would take me to prepare, record and edit the project and calculate the BSF. Then we would look at what the usage fee would be.

For IVR and e-learning projects there generally is no usage fee on top of the BSF.

Usage fees apply on top of the BSF to audio that will be used in the public domain, on websites, YouTube, paid advertising etc.

The usage fee is worked out as a percentage of the basic studio fee. This percentage is based on several things: how long you want to run the project for, where it is being played (websites/social media/pre-roll etc, as well as geographically), what the reach of the project is and the size of the end client.

Have a look at this brilliant, and brief 2-minute video which explains how voice over rates work.

For many of my projects, once we have discussed what you are looking for and the style of read you would like, I self-record and send the finished audio to you. You do not need to listen in. I have worked for over 10 years in this way and usually send 2 or 3 takes for you to choose from. If you want me to tweak the read, that is absolutely fine.

Yes. I have a hard wired super-fast internet connection so live directed sessions through Clean Feed, Source Connect, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets, etc, are fine.

Once the session is completed I can either send you the RAW audio in whichever format you prefer, or I can edit and master the audio to your tech specs and send it to you ready for use.

I use WeTransfer to send audio files, as I know you have received the files and can rest easy that they have been downloaded.

Any mistakes that I have made, such as mispronunciations or misreads, I will amend free of charge as soon as possible.

For small script amendments, I am usually happy to do these as part of the initial fee.

Script changes and additions that arise once the final audio has been delivered will be subject to an additional fee.

Yes, I am based in North London, England, UK, and can travel to any studio in Central London.

I can also voice in studios further afield, please contact me with the details.

For long form projects such as audiobooks, I may ask for an upfront part payment, with the remainder due once the project has been completed.

Once you are happy with our work together I will issue an invoice with payment details and terms and conditions.
